Ramsay Health Care UK Operations Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our team at Clifton Park Hospital in York. As a Senior Clinical Fellow, you will work at a senior middle-grade level with appropriate supervision from named senior Consultant specialist surgeons, undertaking high volumes of Orthopaedic procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake high volumes of Orthopaedic procedures with supervision from senior Consultant specialist surgeons.
  • Work at a senior middle-grade level, with opportunities for independent operating and career development.
  • Contribute to the development of soft tissue and arthroplasty knee surgery, as well as primary and revision hip surgery.
  • Participate in established research programmes, aiming for at least one research publication and/or presentation during tenure.

Requirements

  • Completion of or working towards FRCS (Tr and Orth) and GMC registration.
  • 6 years' postgraduate training with at least 5 years' in a relevant specialty training programme or equivalent experience and competencies.
  • 3 years' substantive experience above ST3 level in Trauma & Orthopaedics.
  • Competent with basic primary total hip and knee replacement, as well as basic arthroscopic knee surgery.
