Academic Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Educational Mentor to provide individualised educational support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, and behavioural difficulties.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of various SEN conditions and behavioural challenges. They will be responsible for delivering lessons in English and Maths, as well as providing educational support and interventions to help students overcome barriers to learning.
This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support. A commitment to promoting inclusivity, diversity, and equality in education is essential.
Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per year based on experience and qualifications. This competitive salary reflects our dedication to attracting and retaining top talent in the field of special education.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored lessons in English and Maths along with educational support and interventions to help students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their academic and personal goals.
- Provide individualised educational support to students with SEN, SEMH, behaviour needs, and more.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
- Monitor and track student progress, and adjust teaching strategies as needed to address evolving needs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, or related field (preferred but not essential).
- Previous experience working with students with SEN, SEMH, or behaviour needs (Must have).
- Strong understanding of various SEN conditions and behavioural challenges.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs.
- Commitment to promoting inclusivity, diversity, and equality in education.
