Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Extraction Manager to join our team at the Erith Location. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our crush/extraction plant.

Your Responsibilities

  • Ensure the efficient and safe operation of the crush/extraction plant, identifying and addressing any issues that may impact performance.
  • Drive performance excellence principles within the department and site, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for activities that ensure food/feed safety, legality, and quality of products, ensuring compliance with all relevant environmental requirements.
  • Continuously review operation performance in terms of key performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Make optimum use of people and resources available, providing leadership and guidance to team members.
  • Undertake investigations of any crush/extraction incidents to establish the root cause and implement corrective action.
  • Proactively manage employee relations issues, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Maintain good communications between all levels of employees and with other departments.

Your Profile

  • Degree/diploma in Engineering or food science/technology beneficial.
  • Proven management experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with H&S in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong people management skills.
  • Experience of MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer literate skills.
  • Performance and results-driven.
  • Team player.
  • Problem solver.
  • Able to multitask.
  • Innovation/continuous improvement.
  • Candidate must be mobile, with some vertical ladder climbing required.
  • Experience in a Solvent Extraction Plant or similar industry beneficial.
