Your Responsibilities
• Ensure that all units within the Crush/Extraction are running efficiently and safely and take any necessary action if this is not the case.
• Drive Performance Excellence principles within the department & site.
• Responsible for the activities which ensure food/Feed safety, legality and quality of products.
• Ensuring Compliance with all relevant environmental requirements.
• Continuously reviewing the operation performance in terms of key performance. indicators, and to effect improvement when necessary.
• Make optimum use of the people and resources available, providing
• Undertake investigations of any crush/extraction incidents to ensure the root cause is established and corrective action implemented.
• Proactively manage employee relations issues that may arise (disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence) whilst encouraging employees to contribute to the departmental, organisational & individual objectives.
• Maintaining good communications between all levels of employees and with other departments.
Your Profile
• Degree/diploma in Engineering or food science/technology beneficial.
• Proven management experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with H&S in manufacturing environment.
• Strong people management skills.
• Experience of MS Office, including outlook, word, excel and power point
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
• Computer literate skills
• Performance & results driven
• Team player
• Problem solver
• Able to multi task
• Innovation /continuous improvement
• Candidate needs to be mobile, some vertical ladder climbing required.
• Experience in a Solvent Extraction Plant or similar industry beneficial
