Opportunity Overview
Cygnet Hospital Sheffield is seeking an exceptional Specialty or Associate Specialist Doctor to join their team as a Adult Community Speciality Doctor in Psychiatry. As a valued member of the multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to progress your career to Consultant level through Cygnet's prestigious CESR programme.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality treatment under the direction of a Consultant Psychiatrist
  • Assess referrals and undertake mental state examinations of service users
  • Participate in weekly ward rounds and attend multidisciplinary meetings
  • Attend Care Programme Approach and Section 117 meetings and mental health review tribunals
  • Ensure that medical decisions are implemented as planned
  • Audit medical services and ensure compliance with GMC and other professional guidelines

Requirements:
  • Fully GMC registered and MBBS (or equivalent) qualified
  • Experience within a mental health setting
  • Able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Knowledgeable of mental health legislation and codes of practice
  • An excellent clinical decision maker with sound judgment and risk management skills
