Overview:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Sales Executive to work for our client at their facility in the West Midlands. The role is an exciting new opportunity working within their Oil and Gas Sales Department, reporting to the Sales Manager.
The role will be heavily involved in the professional promotion and sale of the company's products across their Oil & Gas North Sea division, managing a portfolio of accounts and taking enquiries and calls from new customers.
The role requires sales experience in selling speciality steels, along with an excellent understanding of business requirements and the ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
- Manage a portfolio of accounts to hit and exceed specified targets.
- Maintain regular contact with assigned customers via telephone and email and develop new business.
- Visit key customers with the external sales team if required.
- Accurately input sales orders and subcontract work onto the computer system in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate customer information using Salesforce.
- Follow training received when using any work items given.
- Report any serious health and safety risks to a supervisor or health and safety representative.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: School GCSEs and/or apprenticeship.
Experience: Sales experience in Oil and Gas, particularly in Special Steels and Nickel-based alloys. Key account management with technical sales experience, particularly with releases and specifications. Previous SAP and Salesforce experience preferred.
Your role will be mainly office-based, although you may be required to travel to visit other companies or to attend training, meetings, and conferences.
