Technical Assistant Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Technical Assistant to join our Audio/Post team at PTW International. As a Technical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely completion of technical and administrative tasks to support the delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide audio support for both audio and video projects, acting as a junior audio engineer when required.
  • Perform high-quality audio editing of dialogue WAV files.
  • Ensure quality assurance and delivery of edited dialogue WAV files using in-house tools.
  • Organize, log, and distribute batches to editors, collecting them once edited.
  • Prepare scripts and conduct quality assurance on edited batches where suitable.
  • Prepare edited batches for delivery to clients and, when suitable, deliver them.
  • Assist the Post-Production Team with their day-to-day tasks wherever possible.
  • Collaborate and work seamlessly with the entire audio team.
  • Report any issues that might impact progress or quality.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues as required or report them to line managers.
  • Keep audio assets and logging of equipment up to date.
Requirements
  • Proficient in software and tools such as WAV file editors (preferably Audition, Pro Tools, and/or Izotope RX), Pro Tools, and MS Excel.
  • Strong interest in audio technology.
  • Good ability in troubleshooting technical and IT issues.
  • Able to adapt and learn new skills and software.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Self-driven, resourceful, and a team player who can work well with all levels.
