About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate KS3 Tutor to join our team at Teaching Personnel. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality educational support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or those on an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions for students up to KS3, tailoring your approach to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Support students with SEN and those with EHCPs in their academic progress, working closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Develop and implement tailored learning plans, adapting your teaching methods to suit individual learning styles and needs.
  • Monitor and report on students' progress, adjusting your strategies as necessary to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and confidence.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with SEN and/or EHCPs, with a strong understanding of the KS3 curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for teaching and supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo a check) and any additional qualifications or training in special education needs.
