Job Title: Geriatrician Consultant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geriatrician Consultant to join our team at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. As a Geriatrician Consultant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to the development of our geriatric medicine services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive geriatric assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients.
- Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of geriatric medicine services, including service redesign and quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and transitions.
- Participate in education and training programs to maintain and enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- MB ChB/MBBS or equivalent qualification.
- MRCP or equivalent qualification.
- CCT in Geriatric Medicine or equivalent qualification, or within 6 months of receipt of CCT at time of interview.
- Extensive training and experience in General Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Commitment to multidisciplinary work and team leadership.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
- CCT in General Internal Medicine or equivalent qualification.
- Evidence of ability to pursue independent research.
- Specific training in communications skills, teaching, and management.
