Job Title: Consultant Geriatrician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Geriatrician to join our team at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and dedicated individual to work with our team of healthcare professionals in providing high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist geriatric care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies.
  • Participate in educational and training activities to maintain and improve clinical skills.
  • Engage in research and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
Requirements
  • MB ChB/MBBS or equivalent qualification.
  • MRCP and CCT in Geriatric Medicine or equivalent.
  • Full Registration and license to practice with the GMC.
  • Successful health screening.
  • Demonstrates honesty, commitment, and integrity.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • CCT in GIM or equivalent.
  • Extensive training and experience in General Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine.
  • Evidence of ability to pursue independent research.
  • Specific training in communications skills, teaching, and management.
