Role Overview

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and caring Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a school in Harlow. As a SEN LSA, you will work closely with children who require additional support, ensuring they receive the personalized help they need to thrive in the classroom.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and patient individual to make a positive impact on the lives of children with Special Educational Needs. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing one-on-one or small group support to children with SEN
  • Collaborating with teachers and other staff to develop tailored learning experiences
  • Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teachers
  • Assisting with classroom management and creating a positive learning environment

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience as an SEN LSA or in a similar role
  • Understanding of various SEN, including autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities
  • A caring, patient, and positive attitude
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Understanding of how to support children with different learning needs
