We're currently seeking a talented Senior Manager of Product Design to lead our product design team and drive the development of our flagship Digital Experience Assurance platform, ThousandEyes.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and innovative team that's pushing the boundaries of data visualization and user experience.

About the Role

As a Senior Manager of Product Design, you'll be responsible for building and growing our EMEA footprint of designers and researchers while leading product design initiatives across various projects.

You'll work closely with our cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and customer success, to determine design requirements, create mockups, and deliver pixel-perfect designs.

Your expertise in data visualization will help simplify complex concepts and make them actionable for our users.

In this role, you'll have the autonomy to initiate ideas and solutions that improve the overall user experience and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage & grow a team of designers and own design projects from conception to delivery.
  • Scope, staff, and run both strategic and tactical work, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Partner with PM and Dev to define processes that increase velocity without sacrificing quality.
  • Hire, mentor, and develop designers within the team organization.
  • Create user journeys, wireframes, detailed UX flows, prototypes, UI mockups, sketches, visuals, decks, and explanations that promote understanding and alignment with cross-functional teams.
  • Simplify complexities around data visualization, helping our users get actionable insights seamlessly.
  • Iterate based on feedback from a broad range of team members, users, and subject matter experts.
  • Build a thorough understanding of the technology and influence product strategy.
  • Guide your team to conduct and synthesize user research and help them build a deep understanding of our users and address usability issues.
Requirements
  • 9+ years of product design experience, ideally with demonstrated success in enterprise/SaaS software products.
  • 3+ years of experience building, growing & managing teams.
  • Experience and/or passion for working with data visualization.
  • A strong portfolio that showcases your design work.
  • The ability to articulate the reasoning behind your design decisions.
  • Self-learner with aptitude for understanding complex, technical concepts.
  • Experience conducting and participating user research activities.
