Job Title: Field Service Engineer - Fibre Network Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at Netomnia. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our customers by installing and maintaining fibre networks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and maintain fibre networks to the highest standard
  • Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification to ensure a safe working environment
  • Manage tools and vehicles issued to you as per our vehicle policy
  • Complete service works within an agreed SLA (24 hours)
  • Follow service procedures, splice fibre, and test at multiple points throughout the service visit
  • Installation of fibre cable to build specification and Openreach PIA policy
  • Splicing within Netomnia Fibre Network to the highest standard
Requirements:
  • Experience working in a similar role, working on or on behalf of the Openreach Network
  • Ability to conduct risk assessment and hazard identification, with a strong emphasis on Health and Safety practices
  • Demonstrable experience and a proven track record working in a networking engineering environment
  • Physical fitness for manual handling tasks
  • Ability to foster excellent working relationships within your team, with your manager, and with other teams within the company, with an excellent customer service attitude
  • Must hold a full UK driving Licence for minimum 12 months
  • IPAF 1b
  • NRSWA unit 2
  • Splicing and testing
  • Have telecommunications experience or transferable skills
