Senior Commercial Account Handler

Stride Resource Management Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Commercial Account Handler to join our team.

The Role

We are looking for a professional with a strong background in insurance administration, who can provide exceptional customer service and drive business growth.

  • Administer clients' insurance requirements daily, including general enquiries, renewals, midterm adjustments, and accounting procedures.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve individual forecasts, plans, and targets for growth, focusing on existing and new customers.
  • Provide expert advice to customers on their insurance needs and risk management issues, ensuring they have the most suitable coverage.
  • Liaise with insurers and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless customer service and efficient claims handling.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Arranging and securing appropriate cover for new business and renewals, identifying cross-sell opportunities and uninsured areas.
  • Managing assigned renewals, MTAs, and quotations in accordance with the company's renewal process and placement strategy.
  • Understanding clients' risk exposures and insurance needs, providing tailored solutions.
  • Dealing with insurers and brokers regarding quotations, policy, and claims queries, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Maintaining accurate records on relevant systems for audit, compliance, and workflow purposes.
  • Managing Aged Debtors within agreed service standards, escalating to key stakeholders as necessary.
  • Dealing with claims according to company procedures, referring to the in-house claims team when specialist knowledge is required.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external brokers to deliver strategy and increase opportunities.
  • Attending conferences and events to build relationships with industry partners and stay up-to-date with new trends.
  • Effectively promoting the company brand, product range, propositions, and key differentiators to leverage commercial opportunities.
Education / Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in insurance administration and a desire to achieve a Certificate in Insurance status within two years of starting with the company.
