About the Role

This permanent position offers a salary of up to £27,872 per annum, with opportunities for career growth and development within a dynamic and compassionate team.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Support young people with daily tasks such as education, personal care, and independent living skills.
  2. Accompany young people to community activities and appointments to promote socialization and integration.
  3. Monitor and manage healthcare needs, including medication administration, to ensure optimal health outcomes.
  4. Adapt communication styles to meet the individual needs and preferences of each young person.
  5. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors and therapists, to provide consistent and high-quality support.
  6. Maintain accurate records and reports to inform care planning and decision-making.
  7. Participate in key work sessions with young people to build positive relationships and achieve goals.
  8. Foster a safe and supportive environment by following structured reporting and safeguarding procedures.
  9. Contribute to a positive team culture by maintaining open communication and collaboration with colleagues.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3-6 months' experience in Children's residential care.
  • Excellent observation and listening skills to understand individual needs.
  • Organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
