Facilities Maintenance Specialist

The John Lewis Partnership's National Distribution Centres plays a vital role in delivering 24/7 e-commerce fulfilment, accounting for approximately 75% of our business. This critical function relies on the prompt and effective delivery of projects, services, parts, and materials, ensuring our facilities are safe, compliant, and reliably maintained.
As a Trade Specialist, you will collaborate closely with Engineering Technicians, providing essential support and demonstrating an in-depth understanding of facility systems and equipment to ensure continuous, efficient operation. You will support projects related to building fabric, fixtures and equipment with a significant focus on projects including painting and decorating across the sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a range of in-house services, including planned, reactive, remedial, and project-based tasks.
- Support the growth and development of our engineering network by handling building fabric maintenance and executing value-added modifications.
- Collaborate with Engineering Technicians to ensure continuous, efficient operation of facility systems and equipment.
Requirements
- Painting and decorating experience.
- Understanding of Health & Safety legislation in a commercial and industrial environment.
