About the Litigation Team Leader Lawyer Role

Sellick Partnership is working with a Local Authority in the East Midlands to find a qualified Litigation Lawyer for a permanent position.

We are looking for individuals with initiative, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to the job. This is a great opportunity to join a tight-knit, friendly team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice and representation in relation to litigation and regulatory work, including possession claims, anti-social behaviour claims, disrepair claims, taxi licensing, premises licensing, and environmental offences.

The role involves supervising and developing staff within the legal team, admin team, and information governance team, including identifying training needs and development opportunities.

The Litigation Lawyer will also assist the Head of Legal and Support Services and Legal Services Team Manager on other legal matters as required.

The role is predominantly remote working, with occasional team days and meetings where in-person attendance is necessary, as well as court attendance as required.

Experience required for the role includes being a qualified solicitor, legal executive, or barrister with previous experience of Litigation Law and Local Authority Law, and holding a full UK driving licence.
