Team Leader Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to join our Residential Childcare service. This role would suit a candidate with a strong background in junior leadership within residential care who is now looking for a new challenge.

Our service provides specialist childcare for children who display challenging behaviour and present with emotional and behavioural difficulties, ADHD, and autism. We take a therapeutic approach, prioritizing the needs of our children.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a team of support workers, including direct supervision and day-to-day running of the home. They will also support and assist the Registered Manager as needed.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a team of support workers
  • Providing regular supervision and training
  • Participating in and supporting the leadership team
  • Working directly with children, being a positive role model for the team
  • Assisting with administrative duties as required

Essential requirements:

  • At least two years' experience in a leadership role in residential childcare
  • Relevant Level 3 Residential Childcare Diploma
  • UK driving license and access to a vehicle
  • Valid Right to Work in the UK

Candidates should be able to:

  • Work under pressure and make decisions in stressful situations
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Be a committed team player
  • Be mature, responsible, and level-headed
