Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Literacy Teacher to join our team at Phoenix Learning & Care Group. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to make a meaningful impact on the lives of neurodiverse young adults.

Salary and Benefits:

This full-time position comes with a competitive salary of £31,100 per annum, plus access to a range of benefits including annual leave, pension scheme, learning and development opportunities, and wellbeing support.

Job Description:

As a Literacy Teacher, you will be responsible for creating engaging and personalized learning experiences that promote both academic success and essential life skills for our students. You will follow the Post-16 Study Programme model, which offers flexibility in delivering literacy in ways that are both relevant and enjoyable for our learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading classroom activities, including planning, teaching, and assessing learning
  • Monitoring and recording progress, both academically and against EHCP outcomes
  • Providing inspirational learning opportunities to learners, either in the classroom or out in the community
  • Working closely with learners, keeping them engaged, motivated, and inspired to reach their full potential
  • Collaborating with Learning Support Assistants to direct them in effectively supporting the learners
