A great opportunity has arisen for a dedicated field service engineer to join an expanding company who are working with some of the biggest companies in the area.

Job Description:
  • Responsible for providing routine maintenance, attending breakdowns, warranty repairs and technical support to our customers on compressors and ancillary equipment.
  • The ideal candidate will be flexible and willing to undertake new tasks or assignments at short notice.
  • Although based in the North of England area, travel throughout the UK and overseas is required to meet the business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on compressors and ancillary equipment.
  • Provide technical support to customers on compressor-related issues.
  • Travel to customer sites to attend breakdowns and perform warranty repairs.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work unsupervised and be self-motivated.
  • High level of communication skills with both customers and colleagues.
  • Mechanical Engineering background / Ideally apprenticeship trained.
  • Reciprocating compressor, maintenance and service experience preferably with Belliss & Morcom Compressors and compressed air systems.
  • Electrical and control system knowledge, with the ability to troubleshoot problems associated with these systems.
  • Knowledge of associated ancillary equipment, dryers, cooling towers etc.
