We are seeking a skilled Bid Writer to join our team at DataCareers. As a Bid Writer, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality tender submissions that showcase our company's expertise and capabilities in the health and social care sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and coordinate comprehensive tender submissions that demonstrate our ability to deliver services for current and future business opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure our service offer is clearly articulated and effectively communicated.
- Identify and address all specification and evaluation requirements within bid submissions.
- Analyze and present complex data to support persuasive tender submissions.
- Manage information through relevant tender portals and complete pre-qualifying questionnaires.
- Draw upon local knowledge, research, evidence, and data to tailor tender responses to commissioner and local needs.
- Work effectively with colleagues to develop service models, budgets, and pricing schedules.
- Ensure timely progress towards submission deadlines and deliver successful outcomes.
- Maintain efficient systems, including a resource library of information, stock answers, and best-practice resources.
- Contribute to project teams on larger-scale, complex submissions to support research, scoping, writing, and reviewing high-quality responses.
- Review and evaluate submission success, ensuring continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of high-quality bid writing with successful outcomes or exceptional writing ability.
- Previous experience in bid writing or a similar role.
- Knowledge of the health and social care sector, with a strong understanding of temporary and emergency accommodation, housing, young people's, and children's services.
- Excellent writing ability to engage a range of audiences.
- Strong proof-reading and editing skills, with attention to detail and ability to adhere to word limits.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines while maintaining quality.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster positive relationships.
- Ability to digest, interpret, and present complex information, including key data sets.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and IT literacy.
