Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Parkwood Holdings Limited. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our leisure centre facilities, including the maintenance of plant rooms, management of contractors, and coordination of health and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilities Maintenance
    • Assist in the daily running of the plant rooms, ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly and efficiently.
    • Oversee contractors on site, ensuring all repair and maintenance work is carried out to the highest standards.
    • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly checks to identify and address any maintenance issues.
  • Health and Safety
    • Assist in the coordination of health and safety procedures, ensuring all staff and contractors are aware of and comply with safety protocols.
    • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement controls to mitigate risks.
  • Quality Assurance
    • Assist in the management of quality assurance systems and procedures, ensuring all facilities management activities are carried out to the highest standards.
    • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with quality assurance protocols.
  • Communication and Liaison
    • Liaise daily with duty managers to ensure any technical issues are addressed promptly and efficiently.
    • Communicate effectively with staff, contractors, and clients to ensure all facilities management activities are carried out smoothly and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Qualifications and Experience
    • GCSEs in Maths and English, or equivalent qualification.
    • Minimum RSA level 2 or equivalent qualification.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and other relevant software.
    • Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Customer-focused approach.
