We are currently seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Specialist to join our dedicated Electrical Operations team.

As a Control Systems Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing and overseeing the day-to-day control and continuity of our Electrical projects.

You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and the company's Advanced Utility Networks Standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Checking and approving switching schedules from Low Voltage (LV) to Extra High Voltage (EHV).
  • Submitting requests for supply interruptions in coordination with asset adoption partners.
  • Supporting the appointment and authorization of personnel working on the network.
  • Performing on-site assessments of staff, including Trainees, to ensure competency and safety.
  • Providing technical guidance and advice to field operators and office-based teams.
  • Conducting incident investigations, carrying out root cause analyses, and helping develop procedures to drive continuous improvement.
  • Assisting with SAP duties under the Distribution Safety Rules when required.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the regulatory and safety frameworks governing the industry and a proven ability to manage safety switching and provide technical leadership to teams.

Required qualifications include:

  • A minimum of an ONC or equivalent qualification, with an HNC highly desirable.
  • Experience working on Low and High Voltage systems as an Authorised Person or Senior Authorised Person, or as a Control Engineer on electricity distribution systems.
