Automation Systems Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Automation Systems Engineer to join our team in Banbury. As an Automation Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining our Critical Control Network (CCN) and systems.
About You
You will have at least 3-5 years of experience in an FMCG manufacturing environment, preferably in maintenance or engineering. You should be able to teach, coach, mentor, develop others, and work in a team-based environment.
Responsibilities
- Safety, Health, and Environment: Drive a safety culture and ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Quality: Deliver high-quality work and train associates on quality requirements.
- Leadership: Support HR requirements, lead projects, and enable training for operators and technicians.
- Delivery and Cost: Develop strategy, manage systems budget, ensure manufacturing process continuity, and lead troubleshooting efforts.
Qualifications
- Electrical/Technical degree relevant to local education systems or higher.
- Profound knowledge and experience of programming, development, and configuration software.
- Excellent computer system skills covering both servers and workstations.
- Sound knowledge of IT systems including networks, data transfer, and storage.
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is £45,000 - £60,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a hybrid working arrangement and a range of benefits, including a pension scheme and professional development opportunities.
