Job Title: Catering Team Lead

Job Introduction

Sodexo is seeking a Catering Team Lead to supervise the catering team and oversee all areas of the kitchen/catering department. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the catering team and ensure all tasks are completed in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Oversee all areas of the kitchen/catering department, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are met.
  • Manage stock and consumables, maintaining accurate accounts and supporting higher management with end-of-month finances.
  • Motivate the team to provide great customer service, understand Sodexo's core values, and implement them in their daily work.
  • Be a champion of health and safety practices, reporting any near misses to ensure colleague safety.
  • Conduct regular safety walks to identify and address any hazards.
  • Frequent feedback sessions with the team to ensure they are confident and happy in their roles.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, with knowledge of catering, allergens, and basic cooking skills, as well as team leading experience.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and adapt to change when needed.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
