Civils Site Manager

Madisons Recruitment is seeking a skilled Civils Site Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing projects across the UK, with the first project based in Watford, Hertfordshire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring compliance with drawings and designs, highlighting inconsistencies to the line manager
- Verifying and registering materials and plant deliveries for quality and quantity
- Monitoring and recording attendance and timekeeping of subcontractors and operatives
- Developing and implementing RAMS, Inspection Test Plans, and ensuring client updates
- Liaising with clients and reporting progress, quality, environmental, and health and safety matters
- Attending internal and site meetings, maintaining a professional demeanor
- Ability to read and work from drawings, conveying information to others
- Understanding and working to programmes, producing short-term site-based programmes
- Calling off materials, ordering sundry items, and maintaining running totals records
- Supervising subcontract trades and general labor to ensure quality, health and safety, and compliance
- Setting up and participating in subcontractor meetings
- Conducting formal safety inspections to ensure high construction and site safety standards
- Preparing site reports, inspections, and test plans, ensuring updates
- Maintaining quality control procedures
- Utilizing and maintaining company systems, procedures, forms, and templates
- Motivating self and workforce
- Problem-solving
- Assisting with internal and external audits
- Informing line manager and commercial team of changes, delays, or additional works
- Completing site health and safety, quality, and environmental inspections and job-related paperwork
Essential Requirements:
- SMSTS
- CSCS Managers card
- First aid training
- Full UK Driving license + own transport
