About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Lauriston, a purpose-built care home providing residential, nursing, and dementia care for 60 residents. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in leading and inspiring a team of care assistants to deliver exceptional care and support to our residents, enabling them to live their lives to the fullest.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate a team of care assistants to provide high-quality care and support to residents
  • Support residents with personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
  • Assist residents with activities that promote their health and wellbeing, such as exercise, hobbies, and social events
  • Administer medication and maintain accurate records
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure residents receive comprehensive care
Requirements
  • Minimum NVQ level 2 or equivalent in health and social care
  • Previous experience in a care setting, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to care
