Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic Leader to join our team at East Ayrshire Council. As a key member of our education team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering an innovative and creative curriculum that supports the promotion, delivery, and integration of key objectives in relation to the Education Plan and the Community Plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver a curriculum that meets the needs of all learners and supports the achievement of the best possible outcomes.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure the effective integration of curriculum and assessment practices.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that support the delivery of the curriculum.
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver the curriculum effectively.

Requirements

  • Relevant teaching or education experience, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of developing and delivering innovative and creative curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Working Arrangements

This is a permanent full-time post based within St Joseph's Academy, with the possibility of part-time hours or a fixed-term contract. The full-time hours are 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, at the direction of the line manager. The full-time salary is between £38,000 and £48,000 per annum.
