Job Summary
East Ayrshire Council seeks a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of Teacher of Technical, St Joseph's Academy. As an Academic Leader, you will be responsible for developing and delivering an innovative and creative curriculum that aligns with the Education Plan and Community Plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement curriculum plans that meet the needs of all learners
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of the curriculum
- Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues to enhance their teaching practices
- Stay up-to-date with curriculum developments and best practices in education
Requirements
- Hold a relevant teaching qualification and experience in a similar role
- Have a strong understanding of curriculum development and implementation
- Be able to work effectively in a team environment
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Working with Vulnerable Groups
As a member of staff at East Ayrshire Council, you will be required to undergo pre-employment checks, including a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme membership. This is a requirement for all staff working with children and/or protected adults.
