Job Title: HR Manager

Compact Security Services Limited is seeking a skilled and proactive HR Generalist to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for delivering efficient HR services to our company and affiliated businesses.

This is a crucial role that requires a high level of expertise in HR operations, including recruitment planning, employee relations, welfare, wellbeing, training & development, and legislative compliance.

You will work closely with our General Manager and senior leaders to deliver strategic HR projects aligned with our Business Strategy. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Managing HR operations, including end-to-end recruitment processes and planning, onboarding, and performance management for all business areas.
  • Collaborating with General Manager and senior leaders to deliver strategic HR projects aligned with the Business Strategy.
  • Addressing and resolving employee relations issues and grievances in a timely and effective manner, supporting formal meetings and processes as required.
  • Providing advice and guidance to managers to ensure a people-centered approach to maximize performance and consistent standards of service delivery.
  • Reviewing and updating policies and procedures as required.
  • Supporting the development and delivery of employee welfare and wellbeing engagement initiatives.
  • Ensuring adherence to UK employment legislation and best practice, ensuring all changes and updates that may affect the business are fully communicated and policies updated.
  • Monitoring and reviewing training compliance, ensuring staff qualifications are up-to-date.
  • Coordinating and managing performance review processes.
  • Coaching and supporting the Recruitment and Vetting team in their development and daily responsibilities.
  • Overseeing team benefits programs and employee rewards.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records on our Workable and PARIm systems.
  • Preparing and managing HR reports and KPIs.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in a generalist HR manager role, ideally within an SME or multi-site environment in the security, events, hospitality, or cleaning/facilities management sectors.
  • Level 5 CIPD qualification as minimum.
  • People-focused with a hands-on approach and the ability to communicate effectively with team members at all levels.
  • Confidence to proactively manage employee relations, end-to-end recruitment, and HR and scheduling systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices, including TUPE.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and work under pressure.
  • Proven experience and success supporting managers through all aspects of HR and people development.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, along with the ability to travel within the UK to support on-site event teams, including some overnight stays away from home, is necessary.
