Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate teaching support specialist to work with a Primary School in Oxford. The successful candidate will provide individualized support and guidance to help a Year 4 pupil with autism reach their full potential.

About the Role
  • Provide tailored support to a student with autism, fostering their development and progress
  • Collaborate effectively with classroom and school staff to ensure a cohesive learning environment
  • Encourage student growth and achievement through targeted support
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and procedures
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the student's academic and social development, adapting to their unique needs
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to implement personalized learning plans
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, keeping them informed of progress and concerns
  • Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive school environment
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Recent experience as a teaching assistant in a Primary School setting, preferably with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Previous experience working one-to-one with students or providing individualized support
  • Desirable: relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification and prior experience in a similar role
School Information

This is a long-term supply position, commencing in January 2025, with a duration until the end of the academic year.

The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
