Job Description

As an HGV Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking inspections, services, and repairs of our fleet of HGV vehicles and other company vehicles;
  • Following planned work schedules and utilizing strong communication and teamwork skills with the transport administration function to ensure that the requirements of the company 'O Licence' are met;
  • Carrying out inspections, servicing, and repairs of various pieces of plant and machinery as required;
  • Working independently on routine servicing and site breakdowns to ensure efficient workflow;
  • Diagnosing and rectifying electrical and mechanical faults within the fleet when they arise;
  • Complying with company health and safety policies and guidance documentation;
  • Assisting with MOT preparation and inspections when needed;

In order to excel in this role, you will need:

  • To hold a qualified HGV Mechanic certification;
  • To possess previous experience in a workshop environment;
  • To hold a full UK driving license;

Bonus points if you also hold an HGV license or have working knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems, vehicle inspection standards, and scheduled maintenance requirements.
