About the Crypto Security Team at QinetiQ

The Crypto Security team at QinetiQ Malvern is responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on cryptography and key management to support high security systems and military platforms. We are looking for a highly skilled cryptographer to join our team and contribute to the development of new cryptographic protocols and standards.

The estimated salary for this role is around £70,000 per annum. In addition to your salary, you will also receive a range of benefits including adaptive and flexible working, generous holiday entitlements, an All Employee Incentive Scheme, Health Cash Plan, Private Medical Insurance, and Dental Insurance.

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing cryptographic protocols and standards within the UK and internationally
  • Developing prototypes and system demonstrators
  • Supporting integration and testing
  • Providing in-service support and training

You will also have the opportunity to work on a broad range of interesting defence-based projects with vast career progression across a global organisation. You will also have access to ongoing development and training to help you excel and advance in your role.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of cryptography and key management principles, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
