Your Responsibilities

You will be part of the Procurement Solutions team based at Ratcliffe-on-Soar Power Station in Nottingham, which focuses on ensuring best value-for-money procurement and maximizing business and project value for our day-to-day business operations across the UK.

  • In this role, you will have the responsibility for low-value/high-volume tenders and purchase orders across the direct spend categories.
  • You will have overall sourcing responsibility for executing tenders, including supplier invitation & selection, negotiation, and implementation of supplier contracts.
  • Actively manage business stakeholders across all Uniper operations, locally and internationally.
  • Have close collaboration with the other Procurement functions; Business Solutions, Performance & Culture, and Digitalisation teams.
  • Perform day-to-day tasks, such as raising Purchasing orders in the relevant systems & tools; SAP, SAP Ariba.
  • Actively manage Uniper suppliers ensuring competitive contracts and reliable supplies.
  • Manage Contracts where required, including contract extensions.

Your Profile

We are searching for a self-driven individual who is willing to learn and develop within the role of a Procurement Manager with the following profile:

  • Suitable experience in the energy industry and/or procurement/purchasing role would be a benefit.
  • Working towards or willing to start the CIPS qualification.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time and understanding when to prioritize.
  • Experience in using SAP, SAP Ariba, or other and relevant ERP platforms would be a benefit.
  • Ability to manage and to sometimes challenge a wide range of stakeholders and their conflicting requirements.
