Therapist for Complex Assessment and Support

An exciting opportunity has arisen within adult social care for an Occupational Therapist to work in the Moving and Handling Team at Manchester City Council.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive assessments for the provision of equipment and major adaptations, ensuring individuals can live independently within their own homes.
- Conduct moving and handling assessments to enable citizens to maintain their autonomy and safety.
- Develop and implement tailored solutions using assistive technology, equipment, and minor and major adaptations.
- Deliver moving and handling training to families and carers as required.
The successful candidate will possess:
- An Occupational Therapy qualification and registration with HCPC.
- A driving licence, as this role is a designated Essential Car User position.
- DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance, with the ability to apply for an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
This full-time role involves working 35 hours per week. The post holder will be responsible for monitoring work coming into the team, allocating tasks, and completing reports as requested by Senior Managers.
Benefits and SalaryThe salary for this role is £43,923 - £49,149 per annum, depending on experience. As an Essential Car User, you will receive a car user allowance. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the delivery of a cohesive, efficient, and cost-effective service within adult social care.
