Job Title: HGV/Truck Technician

Location: Manchester Area, North West England

Salary: £38,500 per annum plus an additional £300 per month, dependent on experience

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HGV/Truck Technician to join our team at the Institute of the Motor Industry Limited in the North West.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional service work and assembly operations, promoting the brand image with respect to reliability and economy.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform all service work according to manufacturer instructions and schedule/service processor, ensuring the highest quality and efficiency standards.
  2. Conduct visual inspections, adjustments, fluid changes, and equipment replacements, including brake linings.
  3. Reset maintenance systems and perform simple repairs of worn parts, such as mufflers, outside mirrors, tyres, and balancing.
  4. Collaborate with Systems Technicians on defined and extensive assembly work and repair operations, including major assembly replacement and suspension strut placement.
  5. Possess full City & Guilds qualifications, certified in an automotive service field, and hold a UK Driving Licence.
  6. HGV Licence is desirable.
  7. Demonstrate a disciplined work approach, tackling tasks systematically to ensure completion to plan and quality standards.
