We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Mental Health.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide individualized support to pupils with SEMH, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
- Collaborate with teachers, educational psychologists, and other professionals to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
- Assist in creating a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting positive behavior and social skills.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless support for pupils.
- Relevant experience working with children with SEMH or SEN.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
