Job Summary

The Junior IT Technician is responsible for ensuring that orders are fulfilled and other provisioning tasks are aligned with client expectations and timescales, and that their operational Key Performance Indicators are met.

This is a hands-on position that requires the deployment of client hardware, such as laptops, desktops, servers, and network equipment. The successful candidate will also be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving issues, as well as assisting contracted clients with questions and requests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing efficient and effective customer service to end-users and other stakeholders.
  • Prioritizing and managing workload to ensure client SLAs are met.
  • Managing order-related tasks to ensure smooth and timely delivery.
  • Fulfilling day-to-day activities of various inflight orders, including setting up and configuring new equipment and systems.
  • Receiving and handling queries from the Service Desk team in relation to order fulfillment tasks.
  • Ensuring customer service and communication with clients is a priority.
  • Answering client questions and arranging timely service from an external vendor when needed.
  • Working with third parties to install, configure, and roll out software.
  • Logging and managing incoming issues via our ITSM software.
  • Escalating more complex issues to the Service Desk Team.
  • Setting up and deploying new users, hardware, and software.
  • Working in accordance with company policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Documenting and updating records regarding supported networks and devices.
  • Attending training courses and sessions when required, and learning about new technologies and skills pertinent to the Company.
Requirements
  • Customer service experience is essential, especially via telephone/remote.
  • Experience with Microsoft operating systems (Windows 10/11).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience working on a Service Desk within a Managed Service provider is advantageous.
  • IT troubleshooting experience is also desirable but not essential.
Technical Skills (Advantageous)
  • Experience with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022.
  • Advanced experience of Microsoft Windows.
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking.
  • Experience with administering Office 365.

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am to 6pm

Salary: From £23,895
