Job Title: Electromechanical Systems Technician

We are seeking a skilled SSE Electromechanical Technician to join our team based in the UK, supporting submarine and shore-based systems and equipment.

About the Role:

This is a dynamic position where every day brings new challenges and opportunities for growth. As an SSE Electromechanical Technician, you will conduct tasks in a highly prescriptive environment to support Submarine and shore-based systems and equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conducting tasks in a highly prescriptive environment to support Submarine and shore-based systems and equipment.
  • Work as a fully integrated member of the Launcher Surface Support Equipment team. This may involve travel to other UK and USA sites.
  • Work alongside technicians and engineers in corrective / preventative maintenance and load testing of lifting equipment.
  • Requirement to support occasional overtime and on-call periods.
  • Attend training and maintain a Professional Development Record.
  • Potential to become qualified as an instructor depending on training, exposure, and experience.
Requirements:
  • A "hands-on" mechanical background, ready to tackle any challenge head-on. Specific Submarine Systems experience is not necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) to streamline tasks and communication.
  • Ownership mentality, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and task completion.
  • Stellar interpersonal skills, essential for effective communication with diverse groups.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and committed to exceeding expectations in all responsibilities.
Additional Requirements:
  • Please be aware due to its nature, you will be required 100% on site and you will need to be able to achieve a higher level UK Security Clearance.
