Salary: Teaching Support Salary Scale 5-6, Point 20- 25 £24,297 - £29,212 per annum

Contract: MC Teaching Support, Whole Time, Full time Permanent

Hours: 37 hours per week

Annual Leave: 30 per annum plus statutory Bank Holidays

Pension: Teesside Pension Scheme (LGPS)

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for instructing, training, demonstrating, and assessing students in welding techniques throughout their programme of study at Levels 1, 2, and 3.

Middlesbrough College is the largest General Further Education College in the Tees Valley with a £120million campus in the heart of Middlehaven.

We support the training of over 2000 apprentices across a 75-mile-wide area of the North East from Newcastle down to York working across a range of sectors partnering with over 1000 employers.

Responsibilities:

• To hold a Welding or fabrication based NVQ qualification at a minimum Level 3.
• To be a qualified teacher or must be prepared to commence an appropriate teaching qualification on appointment to the post.
• Grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent) or willing to undertake.
• A commitment to undertake any mandatory training relevant to the role.
