Fulfilling the Role of Assistant Professor of Criminology & Criminal Justice

Plymouth State University seeks a dynamic individual to fill the position of Assistant Professor of Criminology & Criminal Justice. As a member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students and advancing our department's research initiatives.

This is a full-time, 9-month tenure-track position that requires a PhD in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or a related field. We encourage candidates with research and teaching experience in Corrections to apply. Your responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate courses, maintaining a research agenda, advising students, and contributing to discipline and university service.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
  • ABD will be considered.
  • Demonstrated excellence in college-level teaching with evidence from colleagues and students.
  • Skills in academic advising and mentoring students.
  • Evidence of an active research agenda.

The estimated salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 annually. You will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, retirement, tuition, and paid time off.
