About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Lead to join our team at Mountain Healthcare. As a key member of our quality management department, you will be responsible for ensuring that our forensic services meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.

In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of our quality management system (QMS), which adheres to the requirements of ISO 15189 and the Forensic Science Regulators' guidelines. You will work closely with our stakeholders, including the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) and the Forensic Capability Network (FCN), to ensure smooth and effective external assessments of our forensic disciplines.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing relationships with UKAS, FSR, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Reporting to top management on QMS status and areas for improvement.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for all quality-related communications.
  • Informing customers, UKAS, and FSR of significant non-conformances.
  • Implementing the QMS to meet accreditation quality standards.
  • Managing audit schedules and supervising internal auditors.
  • Providing timely updates to the Head of Governance and Quality on Corrective, Preventive, and Improvement actions.
  • Offering specialist advice and guidance on accreditation matters.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject, accompanied by a qualification in project management or quality management.
  • Valid UK driving license.
  • Experience in providing high-quality documents and document quality assurance.
  • Excellent computer skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Prior supervisor/managerial experience and strong communication skills.
