Aerospace Manufacturing Specialist

Experis is seeking an experienced Aerospace Manufacturing Specialist to join our team at the Yeovil site. As a key member of our Engineering & Technology team, you will be responsible for all aspects of manufacturing engineering within any given area of the business.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to drive overall product and process improvements as well as product integrity on existing products.
  • Support the Development and introduction of new products in line with Honeywell IPDS 2.0.
  • Drive & Deliver any prototypes for process or design validation, as qualification hardware.
  • Get back to standard any defect issues in a prompt manner.
  • Lead and co-ordinate cell manufacturing activities between Product Engineers, Operations, ME and Quality and Manufacturing Assurance team.
  • Plan, deploy, monitor and control site-level improvement initiatives to drive Productivity (and includes Machining programme writing and verification and fixturing design).
  • Support customer and supplier communications to improve product quality and delivery.

Requirements:

  • Technical expert for products manufactured & processes within their cell(s).
  • Proven experience within the general application of engineering. This could be within mechanical/electrical/manufacturing.
  • Previous experience of participating, and actioning continuous improvement projects.
  • Experience of PFMEA is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
