Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust cares for a population of four million people in South West London.
We are looking for an experienced applied psychologist to join our team at COPE, a longstanding interdisciplinary pain management service.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will provide high-quality specialist applied psychology input to COPE, including providing highly specialist psychological assessment and therapy.
This will involve working closely with the consultant clinical psychologist and other healthcare professionals to provide expert multidisciplinary assessment and management services for patients with persistent pain.
Main Responsibilities:
- To provide highly specialist psychological assessment and therapy to patients with chronic pain, including group and individual sessions.
- To work closely with the consultant clinical psychologist and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- To provide training and supervision to other clinical team members.
- To contribute to the development of the service through audit, research, and service development projects.
Requirements:
- A Doctoral level qualification in applied psychology (Clinical, Counselling or Health)
- HCPC registration
- Post-qualification assessed experience as an applied psychologist with a minimum of 50 hours clinical supervision
- Experience of working with a wide range of clinical presentations, including co-morbid physical and mental health conditions and chronic pain
- Experience of teaching, training, and professional supervision
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Salary:
The salary for this role is around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
