Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive starting base salary of £20,800 per year, which increases after year 1 to £26,400 (subject to annual review), plus an annual bonus based on company performance.

Additionally, the apprentice will be eligible for relocation allowance, long-term incentives, employee recognition programs, access to healthcare and well-being programs, savings programs, time off, and childcare support.

Job Description

As a Data Science Apprentice at GSK, you will play a crucial role in helping us develop new medicines that bring transformational benefit to patients. You will work closely with senior data scientists to analyze and interpret complex imaging data from preclinical studies, implement existing algorithms for image processing, and support the application of machine learning techniques to enhance image analysis and automate workflows.

You will also assist in managing large datasets, ensuring data integrity and accessibility, and contribute to ongoing projects, gradually taking on more responsibility.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have a Grade 5 in GCSE Mathematics and Grade 4 in GCSE English Language (or equivalent). Additionally, you should possess written and spoken fluency in English.

Preferred qualifications include experience in advanced data analysis methods, machine learning approaches, and statistical analysis software tools.
