Job Description

GSK's UK R&D Hub is the heart of innovation, discovering and developing high-quality medicines that transform patients' lives.

As a Data Science Apprentice, you will gain exposure to the drug discovery pipeline while actively studying towards your BSc (Hons) in Data Science with Nottingham University.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist senior data scientists in analysing complex imaging data from preclinical studies.
  • Implement existing algorithms for image processing and utilise software tools for data analysis and management.
  • Support the application of machine learning techniques to enhance image analysis and automate workflows.
  • Work with biologists, pharmacologists, and other scientists to design experiments and integrate imaging data with other biological data.
  • Manage large datasets, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Grade 5 in GCSE Mathematics and Grade 4 in GCSE English Language (or equivalent).
  • Written and spoken fluency in English.
