Construction Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our Property & Development team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing construction projects within the retail and leisure sectors and possess excellent communication and reporting skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage all aspects of construction projects, including planning, design, procurement, construction, and handover.
- Write detailed briefs and scopes of work for consultants and contractors, ensuring clear and comprehensive project documentation.
- Manage the tendering process, negotiate contracts, and appoint contractors, ensuring the best value and quality.
- Conduct regular site inspections, prepare progress reports, and oversee defects inspections and handovers.
- Ensure all projects comply with Health & Safety and statutory requirements, including building control.
- Develop, monitor, and control project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Be actively involved in all aspects of the project, from documentation to on-site delivery, ensuring projects meet their objectives.
- Efficiently manage multiple projects simultaneously, with budgets ranging from £50k to £500k initially, with exposure to larger and more complex projects.
- Provide regular updates to the Head of Property Development on project progress, budget status, and any significant issues.
- Previous extensive construction project management experience, with a preference for candidates with retail and leisure experience.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in project management software and a solid understanding of construction processes, building regulations, and Health & Safety requirements.
- Willingness to travel nationwide on a regular basis (weekly) as required by project demands.
