We are seeking a highly skilled Arable Operator to join our team at Stetchworth Estate Farms, a progressive and diverse rural business on the Cambridgeshire/Suffolk border.
Farm Overview
Our farm covers 3000 arable acres, with an additional 500 acres in Stewardship and 500 acres of woodland. We operate a mixed fleet of Fendt, John Deere, Case, Horsch and Claas machinery, with RTK full GPS.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating a mixed fleet of arable machinery, including combines, sprayers, and drills
- Managing crop production, including cereals, oilseed rape, and sugar beet
- Ensuring efficient and effective use of resources, including labor and equipment
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety, and adhering to relevant regulations
Requirements
- PA1, PA2 and PA4S & GPA6 spraying certificates
- Forklift certificate and chainsaw
- Experience of large-scale arable farming and sugar beet drilling
