We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Preoperative Assessment Nurse to join our team at Spire Cardiff.

Salary: £43,000 - £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + comprehensive benefits package.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse to work in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a Preoperative Assessment Nurse, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive preoperative assessments of patients scheduled for procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough preoperative assessments to identify potential risks and develop plans to mitigate them.
  • Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients undergoing preoperative assessments.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure patients are adequately prepared for surgery.
  • Document patient assessments and relevant medical history accurately and efficiently.
  • Evaluate clinical risk assessments and use this information proactively to improve patient care.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A valid NMC pin with no conditions or restrictions.
  • Excellent communication skills and a keen ability to develop your patient assessment, decision-making, and clinical skills.
  • Surgical experience and computer literacy.

Working Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Alternatively, you may be able to work 4 long days (8-6).

Contract Type: Permanent.
