We are seeking a highly skilled Chemistry Manager to join our team at Weetabix. The ideal candidate will be responsible for minimizing chemical food safety risks and ensuring quality and legal compliance through the effective provision of chemistry services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing chemical and nutritional risk assessments to define effective due diligence and quality test programs.
- Translating data into actionable information and communicating through monthly reports and to appropriate stakeholders.
- Delivering chemical food safety through HACCP and supporting the troubleshooting of chemical issues in the factory.
- Leading chemical contaminant or legal compliance initiatives to reduce food safety risk and improve quality.
- Identifying, evaluating, and mitigating future chemical risks.
- Providing chemistry technical support and expert advice for the business.
- Advising on best practice in laboratory testing, ensuring chemistry technology is up to date and as efficient as possible.
- Having the confidence and ability to make decisions and translate data clearly and credibly to others.
- Ability to prioritize activities and effectively deliver high-quality output.
- In-depth scientific and technical understanding of industry-standard chemistry test methods, analytical systems, and risk assessment procedures.
- Ability to demonstrate how you keep up to date in your field of expertise.
Nice to have:
- Experience working in an FMCG business.
- Line management experience.
